Yoga Classes for All Ages

Yoga for Children

Douglas’s strong passion engages younger students in the yoga community through the fun play of yoga. Whether students are short, tall, round, or small, there is something for everyone in yoga for children. Douglas believes that the only perfect pose in yoga is when you are doing your absolute best. Yoga, including breath work, takes time and effort. The classes will encourage you to open up your heart with compassion and non-judgment for yourself and for others, making it an ideal yoga practice for both children and adults. Be prepared to explore the following:

Centering (setting your intentions for your yoga practice) Pranayama (breath work) Pratapana (warming up the body) Asana (poses - synchronizing breath with movement) Meditation and affirmations Partner Yoga (building a strong yoga community) ....all done with plenty of smiles and laughter, making this a perfect setting for both Yoga for Adults and Yoga for Children.

Yoga for Adults

Douglas’s adult classes will focus on form, alignment, and philosophy, incorporating vital breath work to enhance the yoga practice. While classes are spontaneous, he maintains a clear purpose to educate students about their body, mind, and soul within the yoga community. More importantly, it’s all centered on the breath—referred to as 'Prana,' the life force behind all thoughts and feelings. These classes will empower you to become conscious of your sadhana (practice) through the sister science of yoga, ayurveda—becoming attuned to the time, day, diet, and season. Whether students are beginners, intermediate, or advanced yogis (male) and yoginis (female), especially those of a certain age, this practice will encourage you to cultivate compassion and non-judgment towards physical limitations. Additionally, there are classes available for children, ensuring a well-rounded approach to Yoga for Adults and for Children alike.

The goal of this yoga class is to awaken the student’s senses through breath work and engage them in a healthy and safe environment. We aim to nurture a yoga community of like-minded seekers, fostering deep healing and connections for both adults and children alike.

So please come breathe, smile, and flow with me in this enriching yoga practice!

Namaste,

I honor the light in you, which is also the same in me, and we recognize this source to be the same... we are all connected.
